This article helps buyers choose the correct notice type in Delta eSourcing. Delta supports the range of notices required under the Procurement Act 2023.
Common Notice Types
- To signal upcoming procurement / engage the market early – use a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) notice UK2.
- To advertise a tender / invite bids – use a Tender notice UK4.
- To publish the outcome / award of a contract – use a Contract Award notice UK6.
- To publish contract details after award – use a Contract Details notice UK7.
- To record a payment compliance update – use a Payment Compliance notice UK17.
- To end a procurement or contract early – use a Termination notice UK12.
Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) Notices
A PME notice is used to engage the market before a formal procurement. Publishing a PME notice does not automatically invite suppliers to a tenderbox — you invite suppliers separately when the tender goes live.
Award Comments
When completing an Award comment, provide a brief, factual justification for the award decision (for example the reason the winning bid was selected). This may form part of the published transparency record, so keep it clear and professional.
Things to Note
- Delta can host the notice, but cannot advise on the legal requirements of your procurement — seek advice from your procurement team if you are unsure which notice meets your obligations.
- Notice names and numbering follow the Procurement Act 2023.
